OPTION 1
Enjoy High Tea at the Hydro Majestic Hotel, Medlow Bath
For the ultimate heritage experience, alight at Medlow Bath where you will be escorted across the road to the beautifully restored Hydro Majestic Hotel.
Once inside the hotel, Standard and Premier class passengers will be seated within the luxury and plush surrounds of the Ballroom within one of Australia’s most iconic hotels, while Lounge class passengers will enjoy panoramic views overlooking the Megalong Valley within the Wintergarden room.
The Hydro Majestic high teas are served to your table on a three-tiered silver stand and consist of petite pastries and a selection of finger sandwiches. Freshly baked scones are served with homemade jam and fresh clotted cream. Freshly brewed specialty teas and coffees are also brought to your table throughout this 1.5 hour sitting.
Vegetarian and gluten free options can be catered for at no additional cost. Please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.
OPTION 2
Free time in Katoomba
As an alternative, we offer the option of simply alighting at Katoomba. Here you can enjoy free time in this vibrant and historic town, located in the heart of the Blue Mountains, experience spectacular walks and lookouts, as well as great restaurants and cafes.
You can explore beyond the town centres by taking the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus. With buses running every 30-minutes, you can see some of the Blue Mountains best viewpoints, waterfalls and tourist attractions at your own leisure.

From the moment you step aboard, you'll be transported into the past. Choose from THREE different seating and on-board service options as follows:
Lounge Class Duo
Travel by Lounge Class and experience the romance of rail with open lounge seating and an exclusive observation deck. At the Hydro Majestic, you will be seated in the Wintergarden Room, with views of the Megalong Valley. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine on the return journey.

Timetable
You can join the train at either Central, Strathfield or Penrith and alight at either Katoomba or Medlow Bath (for the Hydro Majestic Hotel). The train will be hauled by two vintage diesel locomotives.
